I have "overflow library" syndrome. It's a very serious disease where books just happen to spill out all around my house because there are no more shelves left to keep them properly organized. My room has a total of six shelves that are floor-to-ceiling and four rows of...

    Books are basically my oxygen.

I don't think I would be able to survive without them. God bless the person who invented the kindle! It's not the same, but it makes the whole book-buying process so much easier. The last one I loved is Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.

    To Read or Not To

I enjoy reading, but not all the time.  Sometimes I can't read enough, and then for a while, it seems, I'm all read out. When I'm in a reading mood, I can't tear myself away from a good story until I finish the book.  Also, I will read every chance I get, and even when...

    Escapist Reader

We are a family of readers.  We have encouraged our children to read and they have all caught the "bug."  Consequently, they did well in school.  Our oldest majored in journalism and graduated college with a 4.0 GPA.  He did well as a journalist, and...

I can read, and I sometimes do, but not enough. I used to read a lot more when I was younger. Mostly during class in jr. high, stuff way beyond my maturity level.
