    Strange...

...I find it interesting that not too long after Qadaffi publicly refused oil to the US of A (yes, us), we later kill him. Very strange eh?

Train of Thought: Modern Times and 666

Before I begin, I want to point out that I'm not a devout Christian nor  a frequent "church-goer". I've been out of touch with the religion for nearly 7 years.   This morning, I thought about the number 666. Why? I have no idea really. Maybe it's because I...

    Musings of Material Connections

It's odd that I joined this experience because I have probably been more reliant on material things these days than at any other time in my life.  I am very aware, especially, how attached I am to my electronic devices - especially the computer.  I am typing this on my...

    Thought For Tonight: The Moment

Lately I've been feeling that my experiences haven't been..."rich" because I lost sight of the moment. There's usually this feeling of lack, nervousness, etc. Sometimes I feel like I should meet certain criteria before experiencing a moment. And no I don't have anxiety issues...

    Who Needs "things?"

I am a soul lost in a material world is a true description of me. I never "understood" the need for certain frivilous things. I don't have many "over the top" material desires. "Things" can own a person and not always the other way around. I enjoy simple things, like long...

    Energy Crisis

I had this rather interesting conversation with a coworker about the event of an energy crisis. He had already made plans for it and the one thing he said he made sure he had were guns and armor. Of course, I'm not crazy about guns and they certainly don't fascinate me (and yes...

    I Dont Know

Maybe because I grew up poor, but I never let material possessions define who I am as a person. Although i can dress pretty fashionable I never believed that the most expensive designer cloths would make me feel or act different from what i am. I think in this day and age...

Sometimes I wonder why people go behind all the

materialistic things in life and forget about the actual treasures of life: family, the love around them and the simple joy of being in nature and listening to birds chirp.

I Am a Soul Lost In a Material World

I have felt that way along time. Like I don't fit. All I want is to be happy, for my kids to be happy and have bills paid, food and a happy life. But I swear it seems to be the hardest thing to obtain. It would be easier to just buy things.

Hi everyone! I just joined this website. I read one interesting article about a lady who had experiences with seeing spirits. Sadly (only a little saddening lol) I do not have these experience (thank goodness). However, I did have some strange things happen to me. I have no...

    Guilty By Association

I was listening to a song and the song quoted a statement made by Will Smith. He said "You are who you associate with. Look around at your 5 closest friends and that's who YOU are. If you don't want to be that person, then you know what you must do." After giving this...

    You Are What You Think

After reading several chapters in "The Power of the Subconscious Mind", I'm pretty convinced that our thought is where everything starts at and is probably the key to happiness. How we feel, what we see, the choices we make...all tie in with our thoughts. I believe it's the...

Train of Thought: Love and Indifference

First, I never been in a relationship so I'm far from being an expert on matters relating to them. This is more of a train of thought than anything. Also, I felt compelled to write this because last night I was talking to a dear friend of mine about relationships and love and...
