I was born and raised in TN.

    Not From the South, But...

I'm not from the south (although I did live in Arkansas for about one year), but a southern accent from a lady is VERY sexy. Just my humble opinion. :)

    Southern Charm

I was pretty much raised back and forth between North Carolina and this lil holler of a town in West Virginia. About 7 years ago we moved way up past the line to Michigan, thankfully haven't lost my twang at all. People still point it out because I say things like si-gogglin',y...

    Oil

My friend from Boston once put me on speakerphone so I could say the word "oil" for the group she had in her home.  I happily obliged...  And when she corrected my pronunciation I pointed out that she didn't have the right to correct that particular word. ...

I Am a Proud Southern Belle.

I can make tea (our kinda tea, not hot and not kool aid mix crap!) and fried chicken (fried anything).  I have the accent, although not as strong as others, but it doesn't make me stupid (like I've heard from many pea brained yankees).  My favorite movie is GWTW...

I'm ok with it because mine isn't

as bad as some. it's just when people with awesome English accents tell me I sound like the honey boo boo people. now that's crushing a girls spirit.
