    Captivated

When I was really little and the last few seasons of TNG, and then DS9 and Voyager were played out, I was probably captivated by the whole setting, the sci-fi nonsense about warp drive and holographic doctors and photon torpedoes. (FYI if I find anyone on this experience writing...

    To Boldly Go...

From as far as I can remember I was a fan of the show. At first it was the idea of traveling through space that held my interest, and as I grew older I began to understand the social messages that were part of the stories. Over time I found myself not only watching the shows...

    Gave It A Chance

Never really gave it a chance until recently. I can't stand Kirk, so I just skipped the original. Been watching Next Gen on Netflix. Pretty darn good! No wonder my other friends love this series. I suppose I'm a fan, but I'm only a season and a half in.

    The Sound Of The Ship

I love the sound the ship makes in the Picard series (the one with Wharf, Data, etc). It's a subtle, gentle, warm humming sound. I can only imagine how warm and 'electronic' that ship would have smelled had it been real. As Goldfrapp would say, "wonderful electric...

    I'll watch anything Star Trek.

I even watched "Enterprise" despite the continuity errors (I simply reasoned that when the Enterprise-E went back in time in "First Contact," they simple created an alternate reality). I enjoy JJ Abrams' work with the franchise even though I see it as almost a self-parody but it...

    All Except Deep Space 9

I have been a fan of Star Trek since I was aware of life around me.At first, I didn't like The Next Generation, but as the actors grew into their characters, I began to love it. They really capture the essence of what Gene Rodenberry created. But I don't like DS9. To me, Star...

    Loved Enterprise.

It would be hard for me to pick a fav.  I loved the original for being so far ahead of it's time.  OK, Bill Shatner couldn't act to save his life, but he was fun to watch squirming all over the stage and chopping his lines in strange new ways. TNG was well acted and...

    Original Star Trek

Once A Trek Fan, Always A Trek Fan

I love Star Trek. In particular, the original series, next generation, and enterprise. I'm not quite as obsessed as I once was; used to attend conventions, buy collectibles etc, but I still enjoy revisiting the crew of the Enterprise from time to time.

From The Beginning, I Was Hooked

I was 11 years old when I saw Star Trek on TV for the first time. It was the September 1966 and I was sitting in front of a 13" black and white set. From that moment on I was hooked (not obsessed, just hooked). I was so disappointed when it was canceled in it's 3rd season, and I...

I've been a Star Trek fan since I was a kid. I've attended several conventions, my first being when I was 13. I like all versions of Trek though some more than others. The original Trek is still my favorite (with Enterprise an extremely close second). Why? James Tiberius Kirk. I...
