Im An 18 Year Old Star Trek Fan And Dont Care What You Say

W ell I'm a  about a good 44 years late I'd say! If it was J.J Abrams plan to introduce the new generation to Star Trek he succeeded (with me anyway). Ever since I saw the new Star Trek movie's trailer last November I've been fascinated with the original series. For those...

    Big Love On Star Trek

Have you ever noticed there are no BBWs on Star Trek? Our big sister don't get no love. I can't be about performing stunts because when to women ever get into action scenes.  Apparently the producers like their women long and sleek and able to pull off a mini skirt.  While I...

I ♥ Star Trek! We just had Comic-Con in my

hometown and I got to see almost all of my favorites. Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, the only people missing were Wil Wheaton and LeVar Burton. I totally geeked out at the panels and when Patrick Stewart was withing...

    I'll watch anything Star Trek.

I even watched "Enterprise" despite the continuity errors (I simply reasoned that when the Enterprise-E went back in time in "First Contact," they simple created an alternate reality). I enjoy JJ Abrams' work with the franchise even though I see it as almost a self-parody but it...

Some of my first childhood crushes were Piccard

and Spock - even Data wormed his way into my younger, girlish daydreams of romance. But it was and is more than that - Star Trek (Especially TNG) made me think, taught me about honor, respect, and tolerance for people different from me.

Growing up, my TNG crush was Riker.

It might of been the fact that I never seen a guy that respected women, like he did before.

I looked it up once that you can actually join

Star Fleet by going to Star Fleet Academy. I don't know if it was true but it was sure tempting to try out. You had real courses to choose from but I can't remember what they were sadly. It was really kool to look through.

    To Boldly Go...

From as far as I can remember I was a fan of the show. At first it was the idea of traveling through space that held my interest, and as I grew older I began to understand the social messages that were part of the stories. Over time I found myself not only watching the shows...

From The Beginning, I Was Hooked

I was 11 years old when I saw Star Trek on TV for the first time. It was the September 1966 and I was sitting in front of a 13" black and white set. From that moment on I was hooked (not obsessed, just hooked). I was so disappointed when it was canceled in it's 3rd season, and I...

    Gave It A Chance

Never really gave it a chance until recently. I can't stand Kirk, so I just skipped the original. Been watching Next Gen on Netflix. Pretty darn good! No wonder my other friends love this series. I suppose I'm a fan, but I'm only a season and a half in.
