I'm a swimmer. My main stroke is breaststroke

:333 But lately, I've been having second thoughts. I think I could be an IMer, but I don't know... or a distance freestyler. I'm pretty good (or I believe I am) at long distance swims. Not at sprints.

swimming is something very important to me.

when your underwater the chaos is gone. you are hearing a symphony of silence under the water. your mind is cleared of worries, problems, and struggle. you are in your own world focusing on your own thing-swimming. I have been swimming for just a little while now but I really...

    Well...sort Of...

I learned to swim when I was 2 1/2 years old in a lake in central Florida. Swam and played in pools all my life. During grad school, I swam laps regularly...the single time in my life I have exercised regularly. Now that I am, (ahem) a gentleman"of a certain age" I cannot keep...

Well I'm no longer a swimmer

but I used to be a competitive swimmer. Butterfly and Freestyler over here! I really miss it and I regret quitting. Swimming helped me with a lot of things...staying active and fit, building up my confidence, giving me close friends for life and just all around making me...

    I just love swimming,

it helps me relieve stress and I just love it when the water glides over my body elegantly as I swim back and forth in the pool. I even swim clothes less when I am at home and it is great way to unwind after a long day of work. I would recommend swimming to everyone as it is...

I never swam completely in high school

or younger (but now I wish I had focused on that) but I love swimming laps after lifting weights cause it reduces the lactic acid a lot, it I feel empowered, rejuvenated but challenged & satisfied when doing laps

To all the football players who say swimming isn't a sport: **** you. Go play football til you throw up. ;) (yeah, good luck with that) til you can swim a varsity swim workout, you have no right to judge.

Two miles breast stroke was always my ambition,

and I achieved that distance while I was still at school. I swim almost every day. It is an essential fitness regime for me, added to a little workout in the gym.
