I Am a Truck Driver

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 201 People

I like to drive. I love driving a truck.

Especially between the hours of 9pm to 5am. But here's what I hate about the job... I hate truck stops, because 90% of male truck drivers are male chauvinistic pigs that act like they've never seen a woman in their life even though they have **** under their mattress. Ok rant...

    Current Life

Well here I am in Tyler Tx, waiting to take off, texting my love. Face Time at truck stop is a life saver for me! Open road is temporary for me. I will settle down in area of my love's choosing. So I can spend more time with her.

I picked up my CDL in November of 2001. I had been medically discharged from the U.S. Army in December of 1998 after severely injuring my back while practicing as a tripwire force in Kuwait 18 months earlier. My fathers health had started to deteriorate from Throat cancer but he...

I Drove An Eighteen Wheeler In Canada ~

I've spent many days on the road. My favorite times were the runs to Canada.  My partner and I would go into the depth of wilderness and sit and watch the wild.  We always saw a lot of moose.  I saw a white wolf and another time I saw a large white owl and other wildlife...

The Things One Sees From the Cab

I have driven a dump truck locally for over 20 years.  Driving a truck is a strange vocation--one sees the darndest things.  I've seen people get stupid at high speed and end up dead, sex happening in cars, high-speed bank robbery pursuits, etc. Driving a...
