I Am a United States Army Wife - Forum & Chat Board | alone, pregnant, missing my husband

im 27 years old and suddenly feel like a 2 yr old left alone to fend for herself.  my husband is gone until Decembe at which time he will get to come home for a few days only to leave again.  I'm 11 weeks pregnant and so alone.  I lost contact with my friends when I PCSd the first few times and now the only friends i have are online because i have moved away from all of them...i know my husband cannot help it, he does not decide to be away from me but im just so sad lately.  i just wish i had someone i could go grab some dinner with or something...i wish there were more wives around here that we could get together...

Are you on a base or near the base? If so try contacting the Units FRG. Thats how I got to know the wives here in S.Korea. Even try the ACS or CAC where they have activites you may find some there.

I completely understand, my husband works away from home and we often don't see each other for weeks on end.  It is hard but communicating with people who understand really helps.  I found this website useful, supportive but also fun, take a look www.jobwidows.com.  Hope it helps x

I know how you feel, Im 23 have a two year old son&little one due in january. my husband has been gone for most of my pregnancy&will most likley miss the birth of his son or daughter, he knows what it is but I didn't wanna find out. I have been raising my son bye myself&need someone to help me. I know its hard for them over sea's but they really don't know how hard it is for us while they are gone.

I know exactly what you are going through.. I got married to my husband in Feb 09 and found out i was pregnant about 2 weeks before he left for basics.. in April.!! I have a 2 year old and its hard because you want him back helping you with the parent role.. It gets better .. you just feel like your a single parent and your married at the same time.. which is crazyyy!! This website is very supportive..  !! myspace is my next tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 i know how you feel i'm due to have my daughter any day now and my husband just left for the first time and will not return till april. i miss him so much and it's nice to know there are other people who are going through the same thing
