From a young age, eating meat grossed me out

because I loved animals. I remember one particular incident where my family was eating dinner and they had out Cajun chicken and I refused to eat it. My dad placed it on my plate anyway and yelled at me to eat it. In the fifth grade, I finally put my foot down and told them...

    Yup! I'm a vegetarian.

:) And pls STOP confusing us with Vegans. We have milk and many other products made from it. And I have no vendetta against people who are Non-Vegetarians or Vegans. To each, his own. :)

I had my first Thanksgiving with family

as a vegetarian this year. Our family traditionally always has a turkey and many more meaty side dishes and even though it was sitting right in front of me, I didn't crave it. They considered me and had extra options to choose from. This pleasantly surprised me because they have...

Basically I don't eat anything that has a face. No animals. I'm a huge animal lover and I'm only 15.. So everybody gives me a hard time about it. Because apparently "you need meat to survive".. Oh ignorance...

Being vegetarian is being kind to animals (the

suffering animals go through to produce meat is myriad and sickening), it saves on vital resources and is healthy! The logical choice!

I Am a Vegetarian And I absolutely love it.

I'm not a preachy vegetarian; in fact, a lot of people I know don't even know or remember that I am half the time. It's not for ethical or health reasons (though it truly is healthy), but it's really just a preference. Of course I know a-holes that shove something in my face...

    Ignorance Is Not An Excuse

It doesn't take a genius to know that humans are not very different from other animals, so even as a child, the love and respect I had for people extended to animals and other creatures also. My first real issue with eating animals came with the sudden realisation of exactly...

you know the one I'm talking about. "humans have canines so we're supposed to eat gobs of meat." however I'm pretty sure that all the great apes have those two. they look more like fangs actually. gorillas and orangutans are vegetarians. a chimp's diet is about 2% meat. they...
