    What Is A Veteran

Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry the evidence inside them, a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg - or perhaps another sort of inner steel: the soul's ally forged...

I am a National Guardsman at the tail end of my

enlistment. I'm also an artillery soldier and wouldn't trade being in combat arms. I'm not re-upping, but being on active duty and a conventional guardsman was a bittersweet experience. I'll miss most of the people, Tricare, the traveling, getting to handle weapons, and doing...

Suite vs Uniform Suites govern the country.

Uniforms defend the country. Both are sworn to uphold the Constitution. If the Suite feels the need to send the Uniforms to another country, he gets permission/approval from other Suites. Uniforms have no say in the matter other than who goes or how it is executed. They carry...

Society frowns on this and holds it against you. I retired in 06 due to injuries ending my 13 year career. Society is so screwed I wont ever admit to being a vet in public life. The contempt for soldiers is out there and Sad to say sorry, just facts.
