Well I agree I'm totally against cat declawing, I think it's wrong then and I think it's wrong now. Put yourself in a cat's place and try to imagine the pain that they go through, so yeah you get the big picture. Let's end cat declawing and make a change for the cats of the world...

    My cat is not declawed

nor neutered, I believe that stripping an animal of his organs is cruel and inhumane. Sure, my couch is scratched to shreds, but at least he has a way to defend himself. And contrary to what the vet says, training him to stop spraying is a piece of cake.

    My Mistake

Several years ago I had my cat declawed because she was clawing on the furniture even though she had a scratching post. It was not until later that I was informed just what was involved in the actual procedure of declawing and I felt quite guilty for having subjected my own cat...

Sometimes a declawed cat sounds like it'd be a healthier situation for me at least. I can't tell you how many scars, scratches and cuts my body has endured. Particularly with my newest addition. Pretty much whenever I'm sleeping he is either climbing my face or drooling on my...

I've had cats for most of my life and I've never had to or even felt it nescerry to declaw any cat. All you have to do is trim your cats nails on a regular basis and teach your cat where in can and cant go. What most people dont know is what declawing actually is... because of...

When I was a teenager, we had our cat Baxter declawed. At the time, I didn't know how an onychectomy worked - I naively thought it was like clipping claws, but more permanent. What I did know was that Baxter was miserable. Usually a Joe Cool kind of guy who strutted around the...

When you think of cats.. one of the things you think of is they scratch. What is a cat without its claws? Don't even bother getting one if all you're going to do it declaw it, that's so cruel. And you say, "Well I have small children." Or "What about my furniture?" Simple answer...

it's a bit disturbing that one would choose to remove a growing part of a creature for the convience of the owner so that furniture etc are not damaged. I'm hoping that there is a method for cats to stop clawing for thigns for attention sake.
