My Nephew And Why My Brother Is Awesome

My parents didn't circumcise my brother, and my brother didn't have my nephew circumcised. His mother wanted him to be circumcised for the typical reasons: it'll be easier to clean, he'll be teased if he isn't circumcised, he won't even remember it because he's a baby, he'll get...

Why Do We Mutilate These Brand New Humans?

I have two uncircumcised boys.  I feel that circumcision is a violation of their bodies, without a doubt. Many people that I know that have had boys just automatically do it without so much a thought.  It has been so engrained in society. The foreskin is a...

    I don't think it's natural,

I mean it was meant to be there for a reason, don't cut it off. It's just a little extra cleaning. I will never circumcise my son.

It Wasn't Even a Difficult Decision...

I took one look at my newborn son and decided then and there that he would not be circumcised.  So against all precedent in my family, I said no.  Later, my Chinese doctor came into my room and congratulated me on my decision.

    I understand that for some,

it's apart of their religion but I personally would not circumcise my child. The child isn't able to object or agree. I would rather leave it up to the child when they reach of age.

    Not My Son

I was a pretty free spirit when my son was born 22  years ago and I did not have him circumcised. I am not quite sure how he feels about it today but I  believe that if they are born with it there is a reason so why cut it off.

    I Think It's A Form Of Mutilation.

So many misconceptions that this procedure is necessary. I've known lots of uncircumcized men who have had NO medical issues what so ever with their penises. How about allowing men to make the decision about their own bodies? Like women want to do with reproductive issues.

It's perfectly natural to have a foreskin.

There is no good reason to cut it off.

All reasons are bad but these are some of the

worst. 1. just to do it. 2. to look like dad or other family members 3. so he'll look like other boys in the locker room. 4. because it cleaner. ( Have you no running water ) 5. because it looks nicer. (No it doesn't you are just used to seeing penises with parts missing)

    A Self-Perpetuating Practice

Here in the U.S. it is difficult to stop the cycle of infant circumcision. Since most males are cut, they and their wives agree to it for their sons without questioning the doctor's advice. In the high school gym locker room I would say that 95% of us were circumcized. When I...

So i know this is a very controversial topic

I Think It Should Be Banned!

It should definately be banned because that baby cant speak for himself when he is born. It should up to every man whether he wants his penis sliced up. Just saying its a cosmetic procedure not medical.

I do not understand the ignorance of people

when it comes to an infants genitals. Why is it okay to remove 20,000 nerve endings, 300ft of blood vessels, and 16+ functions from a male, but it is illegal to remove 6,000 nerve endings from a female? Why do parents allow their children to be subjected to this rape and abuse...

    An Outdated Practice

The history of circumcision is very old and very complex but seems to have begun in Egypt and may relate to primitive views of sacrifice. I suspect that the cutting off of the tip of the foreskin to get blood to flow was a substitute for Child sacrifice to the Gods. From there...

Look, the male foreskin holds about 30% of the nerve endings contained in the penis.(See edit below) While there are health arguments to be had for circumcision, the fact remains we're removing a nerve-laden tissue...in essence genitally mutilating our infant males. We are doing...
