I've been tired for years and the older I get the worse it gets(I am currently 55). The feeling lasts at all times from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. I even have to take a 2 hour nap during the day and lay down after anything I do.  Through the years I've been checked for several things, all resulting with the answer of "Everything is fine". I've had sleep tests,my heart, and lungs checked. I've tried different antidepressants, even though I am not depressed. I can't even get up enough energy to go somewhere to work out. I do take thyroid meds for a hypo thyroid but have always kept up on my meds so that shouldn't be the issue. I get to bed around 7-8 pm at night sometimes earlier.  The feeling of exhaustion is always present,I have to lay down several times a day because I feel just like an appliance that has been uplugged and all my energy source has been drained.  I've tried different vitamins and nothing has had any effect,I always give them 6 month to get into my system before give up on them.  I've watched my sugar intake and that doesn't seem to sway my exhaustion one way or another either. I don't have diabeltes. I've been skinny to fat and the weight issue isn't the problem either.

I am hoping to find a common link on this sight that we all might share hoping that maybe there is an answer and a cure to my being tired.

i know how you feel and i'm 11 years younger than you. i noticed a change in my energy levels when i was about 30. i am type 2 diabetic but with exercise and my daily meds, my numbers are in great shape. i make sure to get plenty of sleep, exercise and take vitamins but none of it seems to help significantly and it doesn't take me too long to run out of steam. being a night shift worker the last 16 years doesn't help either, i'm sure.
