I Am Amazed At the Universe

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 5,732 People

    It's Beyond Me

I am usually not that amazed by things I don't understand, but the Universe tops the list. My mind is much too minute to even begin to comprehend the complexity of it all.

Love. It is best when inexplicable.

Words are a human invention. Love is not. When you love someone so much that you cannot think of a single word to describe what you feel...that is truth. That is beautiful.

Watching TV documentaries about the Big Bang

and hand growth, evolution of the universe, is great, a great way to learn much of the theories expounded about how things came about. Whether you believe mans ideas, or read spiritual tomes like the holy bible is a personal choice thing, still it is fascinating.

    Light travels at about 186,

000 miles per second. Our galaxy is about 100,000 light years across. Yet our galaxy is tiny in comparison to others that have been discovered and there are millions. It makes me wonder... I wish I could travel to other parts of the universe and discover intelligent life!

I have a weird thinking of the universe,

but one that I love. I see the universe as a melding of both good and evil, in all its forms. And something can be both, as how water can both give life and take it. I see God in all, in the rush of water, in music, in fire, in passion, in beauty, in the simple pleasure of...

    Beauty In Chaos

I like to think of myself as a fan of chaos. The funny thing about chaos is that if you pull back the scope, you're looking at order, no matter how chaotic. Grains of sand on a beach, stars splashed across a night sky, the mere fact of temporal existence, is all an exercise in...
