I Am An Army Wife Forum & Chat Board | New army wife but not a new wife

I have been married for almost 4 years to my best friend.  We have a beautiful 16 month old son.  He is our world.  Since he was born, my husband has changed, in a good way though.  He wants to do more for our family than he currently is.  He has decided that the way to do this is join the Army.  I think it's wonderful, I am so proud of him for wanting to serve our country for our family.  My husband is 32 and is doing this kinda late in life compared to most men.  I am wondering if there are any other Army wives out here with my same experience.  We are currently waiting to learn when he is leaving for basic.

 

Hi, i too am going to be a new army wife, i have been with my husband for 7 years, married two. We have three beautiful children together.  my husband is waiting to find when he will be off to basics. i am a little nervous, but overly proud of my man. i know he will do well. My children are very excited that 'daddy' will be in the army. their expressions are priceless. I know him being away will be hard, but i kno i need to focus on the big picture.
