Socrates Good morning, Jesus, I have heard much of your marvelous teachings. In my own modest way I am a philosopher here in Athens. I am told you have great wisdom and...

I used to think you could believe in God

without being religious. But that is impossible. Even if you believe in God, you are religious. You might not go to church, but you are still religious. Dictionary.com defines religion as a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when...

Atheism is the only logical position.

There is no evidence for a God, there isn't even a need for a God to exist. Logic says that God almost certainly does not exist (since it is impossible to prove a negative). Theism also has a huge problem. Believers are REJECTING logic. Can you really trust people that reject...

My words are for Christians in here, "I am an atheist". So, you go to the "I am an Atheist" experience as a Christian and write comments as you wish under people's experiences, instead of ep's being a free site which people can share their opinion freely and searching for...

One of the most profound changes in belief I

have since embracing true Atheism and Skepticism is that there is no afterlife. Upon death, it's oblivion. What's that like? I've heard some refer to it what your life was before birth. I like to compare it to what it feels like when you're in deep sleep and not dreaming. No...

I dislike talking to Christians about

Why do Christians lie they have proof of god?

They quite obviously don't and it's kinda funny watching them try to avoid the topic when I ask for the source of their "evidence" :P I have no problem with their belief but lying to get your point across in a debate is just lame.

when I'm talking religion with a Christian. They always bring up that one of us must be right, theoretically. Either it's God or nothing. They're in the clear because if there is a God, they receive no punishment but if there isn't, then nothing happens to them. So, obviously, I...

The argument for or against God is difficult

and rather irrelevant. God is about faith, science is about observation, evidence, repeatable, testable, measurable experimentation. The burden of proof falls on the believers, and it is impossible to empirically prove a negative. Most atheists are agnostic. We don't believe...
