Is there some cure for my sleeping problems?

Or some app or something I could use? I use a loud rain noise (ironically) which is all I can use to get to sleep (it's because it's only the loud noise which blocks out external noise). Been using this for 4-5 years now and it hardly has an effect on me anymore. I hate relying...

I Don't Know Anyone Like Me.

This will be short.  I've come to know that I'm not really my story.  But in any case - I come from a traumatic childhood ... just like many people. I have a doctorate in physical chemistry. I can still remember my mother mentioning to another person when I was about 7 years...

    Dreams Of The Past

I am currently having a series of dreams with a person from my past that I don't care much for, but I think that my subconcious is trying to tell me that I need to tie some lose ends.

It Can Be A Rewarding Life.

I found out about HSP less than year ago and the last half century of chaos finally makes sense...I basically disconnected from the real world over a year ago and my story was “homeless, jobless & broke at 53” it was a gift because it gave me the space to totally break down...

Could growing up an only child,

having social phobia all my life, being bullied, being alone a lot of my life and suffering depression and anxiety have made me this way?

    People Don't Understand Me

I can sense moods just by walking in a room. I can also feel the energy coming off of people, if it is good or bad. It is too much at times. People don't know how to interact with me. I know i am different.

    Too Sensitive

I have a lot to say about this but for now I will just tell you that being an HSP is hard. It takes a lot of coping mechanisms and alone time for me to manage my thoughts and emotions. I feel everything deeply. I feel other people's feelings and sometimes it's almost as if I can...

I found out a few months ago

that I am an HSP. I was searching for answers to help with my son and while looking at gifted websites I found the highly sensitive information. I finally found what I was looking for. Both my sons and I are HSPs although my husband is not. It explained a lot. I always helped...

Living Without Knowing I Was A Hsp

For reasons of confidentiality I won't say where I live, but what I'll say is that since I discovered I am a HSP I've been wanting to reach out to others like me and vent out some of these experiences that are quite uncommon. For starters, I'll say that since I was a child I've...

Curious question to all of you fellow HSPs out

there. Specifically when it comes to jobs/careers duties. I'm wondering if any of you found success/victories in this aspect of life? If so please tell me about your experiences good and bad. I will share you mines, I've had to quit several jobs because if the job stresses...

    Good Grief!

Sadly, I have had to mourn the deaths of many, many dear people through the years. It has been frustrating that here in the USA people are so uncomfortable with grief that they do not want to see or hear about one another's sorrow. I just saw a quote that is most appropriate...

    Ahh...hsp!

When I was about five years old, my younger sister pushed me off a chair in our gallery and pointed to me to “Go get your own”. For that I cried and in that moment my father took a picture of us. I hated that word-cry baby and wondered if no one else felt the emotions I did...

    Wish I Wasn't

Being an HSP means being flooded by information all the time. Being so sensitive that bright lights hurt your eyes, too many sounds hurt your ears, bad smells make you feel queasy. Hearing about someone's pain makes you feel their pain as if it was yours. Stories told give you...

    Hsp :-)

I didn't realize that there was a label for me until 2 days ago. It's an easier thing to say to people when you don't feel up to certain things otherwise they assume that you are selfish or even a bit of a snob (especially since I am also introverted). It can be painful but I...

Do you guys happen to know the difference between a HSP and an empath? They seem to be the same thing mostly, yet they have another name.
