I Am Androgynous

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 441 People

I Cried When I Realized I Could Express Myself

I don't know WHERE I fit in, in society: I am biologically and emotionally a woman, at my core I am heterosexual, yet I  have a very androgynous appearance. Boyfriends have asked me if I am transsexual. Even after sex, point blank, "Are you a man?" No. I have a strong jaw...

    Envy Of Androgyny

I don't look androgynous. I rearly dress androgynous. Nobody ever wonders if "I'm a boy or a girl". I look like a girl. I'm feminine in society terms. But often I really feel androgynous. Or maybe I should say I feel as neither a boy or a girl. I'm still not sure if I should...

    I Know I'm Not Perfect

I was raised in the Christian church, but left at around 18 years of age, not because I didn't believe in God or the teachings of the Bible, but because of the hypocrisy within the church itself, as well as many of those who attend. There are many who will quote the Bible at you...

My Hair, The Way I Dress....Whatever

For many a year, I had frighteningly long hair. So long, that I kid you not when I say it was touching the floor. And I loved it, very much so. Unfortunately, long hair means great care.....and I never really was a patient person. Most days I had it braided back, other times I...

It's only in the last few years that I've realised that I'm androgyne. When I was a kid, I was never keen on the usual boys things and for a long time was thought of as a bit "girly", though I never thought of myself in that way.    As I grew up, I didnt think all that much...
