    Mind Over Matter

Hi, I'm a 23 year-old woman, a virgin, and I'd say I'm about 95% asexual. Let me just start by saying, to me, sex is like water-tasteless and pointless, unless you're dying of thirst. The funny thing is I started out in life being pretty sexual. Even before puberty, I used to...

that as*xuals can enjoy things like kissing or hugging. I tried to explain to my best friend and brother that I was as*xual but I still enjoyed a relationship with a guy. I enjoy showing affection. But what they don't seem to understand is that things like kissing or cuddling...

It's a realisation I've come to quite recently,

most of my life I've just thought there was something wrong with me. Knowing that it's actually my orientation, and that there are others like me out there, is a huge comfort.

    How Do I Say This...

I'm not completely sure yet if asexual is the most accurate word to describe me, but that's what I tell people I am. I find it helps them understand better where I'm coming from when I say I've never had sex and I don't want to. For a while my mom didn't believe me and just...

I am Asexual. I am completely sure of it.

I want to come out. But I am worried people won't understand. I'm worried they will say asexuality isn't real and i'm just saying this for attention. I just wish there was a way for people to understand. Im tired of constantly feeling like there is something wrong with me.
