Yes I am. Born and bred.

An Aussie. I'm not a huge fan of that term "Aussie" Perhaps that's because I prefer to use the full word, "Australian." I'm a bit like that with names. David instead of Dave or Rebecca instead of Bec. Unless the so named person prefers the shortened. Whoa! I'm getting a bit off...

    First day of Spring here.

Sitting on my front verandah with a morning cuppa, in a nice bit of sunshine, listening to the birds and chatting with somebody special. Life here is very good, wouldn't swap it for anything.

Best Aussie Pick Up Line Ever:

An Aussie walks into a pub and takes a seat next to a very attractive woman.. He gives her a quick glance then casually looks at his watch for a moment. The woman notices this and asks, 'Is your date running late?' 'No', he replies,'I just got this state-of the-art watch...

I often get asked if I'm Aboriginal,

usually by complete strangers. When I tell them I'm not they look at me in disbelief and dispute my ethnicity. I have had arguments and racial slurs yelled at me. I don't feel the need anymore to prove myself as I once did. What for? I don't care anymore. I do love living in...
