which is a form of high-functioning autism. I'm not good at dealing with other people, online or off. The only thing I excel at is creative writing. I couldn't do algebra to save my life. I've learned it so many times, but it just doesn't compute. Anything higher than algebra I...

    The Genius Zone

Apparently (which means I haven’t checked my facts) Einstein used to sit in a stool with a spoon in his hand and wait until he had dosed off. When his hand relaxed, the spoon would drop and he’d jerk awake. But he’d be between the states of consciousness and...

    What I feel I can't describe.

I can't express it which is usually the case. Maybe because I'm autistic. I feel lonely I guess but that's not all. It's not that there isn't an abundance of people around because there is. It's that there seems to be an invisible wall between us. If they see past my exterior...

How To Support People With Autism

Bullet points 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 apply to me to varying degrees. 1: When learning to do something new, I need to be explained slowly, step by step, and possibly instructions have to be written down so I can go back to them if I am stuck. This is especially important at work. 2...
