And when I think I'm smiling I look serious.

I smiled for a picture. When I saw the picture I looked serious. I was getting overwhelmed though. Maybe that's why I couldn't control my face. Hopeless.

    I'm autistic (Asperger's),

very high functioning in most aspects, but noticeably different. Me being different really seems to put people off and very few people give me a chance and get to know me, which is disappointing and makes it really hard to make friends.

I'm overwhelmed. Diagnosed at 19 So tired from

doing normal everyday things. I wasn't meant for this world. I like to sing. I hum when nervous and pull on my hair. That's how I cope. I used to pull my hair in front of my face. I thought cutting it off would force me to behave. It didn't really. I almost freaked out today...

    Being Me

"If I could snap my fingers and be nonautistic, I would not because then I wouldn't be me. Autism is part of who I am." --Temple GrandinIndeed. It might not be easy being me, but I'd rather be me than someone else.

How To Support People With Autism

Bullet points 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 apply to me to varying degrees. 1: When learning to do something new, I need to be explained slowly, step by step, and possibly instructions have to be written down so I can go back to them if I am stuck. This is especially important at work. 2...
