And I am proud. And I'm not ashamed.

I couldn't care less if I "act differently" or don't do what neurotypicals want me to. I don't aim to comply with them - I refuse to hide my autism for their comfort.

How To Support People With Autism

Bullet points 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 apply to me to varying degrees. 1: When learning to do something new, I need to be explained slowly, step by step, and possibly instructions have to be written down so I can go back to them if I am stuck. This is especially important at work. 2...

    Nobody Understands How I Think

I think of how everything works and when I don't get a definite answer I get very frustrated. I have weird habits. I hate when people think autism is a mentally disabling "disease".
