    My dad is a Libyan Amazigh and is really proud. We couldn't learn the Nafusa language because of Gaddafi's hatred of our people and the ban on our language. Now that the rat got what was coming for him, I really want to learn my ancestors language and heritage. -Izem Amazigh

    My great grandmother was part Arab from the

    Berbers of the Sahara. She was Muslim too. When she met my great grandfather there was a lot of family scornfulness and they didn't see much of their extended families for many years after they were married.
