Blind Right Eye - Motorcycle Accident

I recently had a motorcycle accident and was very seriously injured! Unfortunately, I do not remember the accident at all and I actually lost memory of that entire week, if not more. Also, my first memory that I can remember after the accident is waking up in the hospital three...

Hello all, I am Completely blind in one eye.

Actually, it's, my optic nerve which was unrepairably damaged. As I understand it, the eye itself is ok, it doesn't know it's "message" isn't being delivered. It moves around as I tell it to. But the end result is complete darkness, not the brightest of light comes through. It...

    I was born with cataracts.

I had to have both lenses taken out at 2 weeks old because they were completely white. I had to wear "Coke bottle" glasses that made my eyes look ridiculously huge for several years just so I could see. I also had glaucoma, high eye pressure. In one eye, they had to make a...

I had ROP when I was born,

and my right eye's retina detached. That eye, most of the time, doesn't exist. My brain turned it off basically what I was little because I wasn't getting any stimuli. For me seeing with that eye is like the average person seeing behind their head. It just doesn't exist. My left...

    Legally Blind

I'm actually legally blind in one eye, its not the same as being completely blind. I still don't use that eye though its only in my peripheral vision. I am a horrible driver and blame it on my poor depth perception but am working on being better. I think I was legally blind when...

Lost My Eye. Did It To Myself....

When I was 12, a friend I were throwing soda bottles in the air (they were glass back then) and chucking rocks at them. We liked watching them shatter in midair. Well, one time the rock bounced off the bottle from about 20 ft in the air and hit me right in the eye. I actually...

Yep, I was born blind in my right eye. No one even noticed until I was 10...I was just thought to be a lil clumsy. I remember when I was 2 or 3 asking dad why I couldn't see out of that eye and he didn't understand the question. He replied that everyone has a master eye...one...

I really did not mean to find this site,

but it is kind of amazing to see how many people struggle with what I have struggled with since I was in the third grade. I was in an eye accident involving a bb gun (yes, a christmas story is my all time most un favorite movie - "you'll shoot your eye out") resulting in loss of...

I was born with a congenital cataract in my

right eye. Because it was not visible to the naked eye, no one caught it. It was discovered when I was six at the state fair of all places. By this point my eye had never fully developed and the doctors would not bother to operate. I remember that as a child I used to try and do...

    One Eyed Vision

I was born with Peters anomaly. Meaning two things: I am blind in my one eye, and I was supposed to be a little person. I had a cornea transplant when I was four, meaning that the eye looks a lot better, but it did nothing for the eye's functionality. As for the little person...
