I Am Considering Extended Breastfeeding

I have considered extending my breastfeeding of

my 3 year old daughter. I want her to tell me when to stop and not by others. I am a very independent woman, do have a brain, and able to choose the correct method here. This is my life and not yours.

Any moms considering this should do it.

I was breastfed until age 12. it bonded me with my mom is such a beautiful way. When I have children I hope to find someone willing to do the same.

I am now two months pregnant

and considering again extended breastfeeding. I breastfed all my kids for an extended period of time when they were born and stopped when they were in school. I see nothing wrong with this as other moms do the same thing. There are no side effects at all regardless of what...

I would have loved to have breast fed my kids

until they were 3 or 4. I had to stop when they were two. My 3 kids all arrived in three years,i found it hard work to feed two so feeding three would have left me exhausted,so when my youngest was born my eldest had just turned 2 & i decided it was time to stop feeding her. So...

    I know I'm a guy and only 18,

but, I think the mom should decide when to stop breastfeeding her baby. Just use clues as to what the baby is doing. I know my mom breastfed all of us until she thought we didn't need it. My sister went until she was 5, my brother was only 2 when he stopped and I went much...

breastfeeding of my kids. I have a 3 year old and a set of twin boys that are almost 3 months old. I see nothing wrong with extended breastfeeding schedules with my kids. Other women promote it very much. I want the best for my kids and this is one way of doing it along with...

    Brestfeeding And Pre-School

I'm presently nursing my four year old son. I'm worried about when he starts pre-school in September, if he is still nursing. Is it better to tell him not to say anything to his friends about nursing, risking he will think his nursing is something bad, or not say anything, hoping...

    Extended Breastfeeding

A better title would be "My family is considering extended breastfeeding..." but here we go. First I should say that here in the USA breastfeeding past 6 months is rare and past 1 year is "odd", and past 2 years old is mostly unacceptable by the general public.  I...
