    Well I Use to Be.

I was a member of our local rescue squad for five years.  I was a certified First Responder.  I really enjoyed my time there.

I am taking a CPR class

for the summer. May I ask where you all got your CPR pocket masks? I checked drug stores and a medical business, but they don't sell them. Any help would be great.

    Since 2001

I had to get certified before I could start my job working for a Medicaid provider. We were going to be alone with people with disabilities in some cases, and had to get trained. My kids were Autistic, and their parents were home. But we had to get the certification. I've kept it...

In my profession (paramedic), I have to be certified. Along with several other things. I have 18 hours of continuing education to keep up with every year

This used to be a goal and I just marked it accomplished and I was beamed to this group!  So, I guess I better write a little something.  I needed to get certified as part of my Medical Assisting training.  I just completed the course a few weeks ago. So, now if...

    I Know How To.

I know how to and was going to get my certificate and certification card after completing the course, but we moved before  I could, which sucks because we already paid for it and everything. They wouldn't mail it to us because I had to take one last written test to...

So as a medical assistant it's pretty much mandatory that I am CPR certified. For anyone who doesn't know, it's 15 compressions to 2 breaths now for everyone.

It's a blessing and a curse wrapped in one.

Yesterday I went to the lake with my daughter we were having a great time. A lifeguard said everyone out of the water. So we listened and got out I asked a woman around me what was going on and they said a kid was missing. So the lifeguards start searching the water. I then see...

    Required For Me Too

Being CPR certified is important when working in a hospital.  I look forward to renewing it every year because it is a valuable skill that everyone should know.  If anyone around me ever needed it, I would be thankful for being able to save their life.  I am sure...

    Still Kickin'

When I decided to get certified at 15 & 1/2 (the youngest you can take the full course in California) I wanted to be a lifeguard the following summer. Took the course through the Red Cross. There were mostly people a few years older than me there. Most were snobbish. But there...

Been Certified For Last 3-4 Years Now..

I now have the healthcare providers certification.  It didn't seem any different than the regular though. I hear they require it now for new moms coming out of hospital in my state.

    Really, Trust Me.

I am. Due to my job as a flight attendant, we are trained to perform resuscitation. I have not put it to use yet on a real medical situation, hopefully not, one day. Well, they are some passengers on board which i would love to exercise my skills on, though.... :p

    For Many Years

I first took CPR at camp, then again in high school. I was "officially" certified right out of high school as it was required for a job I had caring for individuals of disability. Had to certify again for my CNA. Thankfully, I've only had to perform it twice.

    Have to Don't You?

I always wanted to be certified. Finally got the chance when I was driving bus. Let it go when I was driving the garbage truck. I have been recertified for three years now, and I will never give it up again. I hope that everyone will take the opportunity should it...
