Ok well I am now deaf in my left ear.

My disease has another side effect that causes hearing loss. They doctors expect me to lose hearing in the other ear in a few days. Now I need to start learning sign language.

since I was 2. With that said, I grew up hearing, up until this year, I've never been around deaf people. I grew up thinking I was alone, that I was in a minority inside of a minority. I grew up inside a hearing world thinking that i just happened to be there, not knowing that...

    Becoming Deaf

This year, I turned 16. And have learned many things. Reached a happy medium. But it wasn't like this before. Before, I was distraught. For all the accumulating years of my childhood, there was only one ear that resounded with noise, my trusty right, while the left lay in...

    My Profound Experience
