I Am Disturbed By Graphic Violence

    I Could Not Stay Tuned

I recently started watching an episode of Criminal Minds.  The violence in the first five minutes wasn't exactly slaughterhouse.  In fact, there was no physical violence at all.  A woman suffocated inside a sealed box.  The other person in the room sat behind...

    The Censors Have It Backwards

TV these days is full of violence, but nudity is either not shown or pixellated out (apparently because it's something that would be disturbing for young people to see). Somehow, I'd find it awfully strange if the majority disagreed with me on this one...but I'd much rather my...

    We Are What We Watch

I have a confession to make:  After going without a T.V. for many years, then seperating from my wife two years ago, then getting a T.V. somewhat less than two years ago, I started to watch wresting again.  You'd think at my age, forty, I'd know better. I used to...

    I'm a Pg-13 Girl.

Even after I got old enough to watch movies with graphic violence in them, I could never stomach them very well at all.  I have an overactive imagination, so I absorb whatever I watch very deeply while I envision the same happening to me.  Given that such scenes are...

    I Don't Like It

I don't like graphic violence, and whats more I am disturbed by the idea that some people even wish to see such things in movies and such. It just seems like an odd thing for me to contemplate, so yes, I don't like violence and much less the unthinkable idea of it happening to...

I've seen enough in real life. I don't need to see any more, real or ficticious. Query: Why is it OK for children to pretend to destroy life but tabu for them to pretend to create life?

    I Feel Silly

I'm upset by violence, even though it's fake it still makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm over sensitive.

    When Animals Attack

I watched that show for 5 minutes and it was horrible. Graphic and disturbing. The humans being mauled and screaming! The footage is not for me..I wondered if some animals had been harassed by the people and were stressed out, frightened. Still it's not fun to see the suffering...

    Cover My Eyes

As a teenager I loved violent, action-packed movies, but the older I get, I find that extremely graphic unnecessary violence (like the 'Hostel' movies) just haunts me and disturbs me. I don't know if it's because I'm getting old or because I am reaching a stage in my life where I...

    It Depends

If it's fake(like the horror movies I love) I don't care. But if it's real, then I am deeply disturbed.
