    There is unblemished consciousness,

then comes emotions n it then solidifies into gross thoughts n thots into actions. Those who r established in truth they have constant experience of untainted consciousness, no emotions... therefore their thots n actions no matter what they do never disturb them. They r ever at...

    If we become like this

that we dont need anything or anyone to make us feel happy or content then everything of the nature gets attracted towards us. So much so that we wont even have to care about fulfillment of our basic needs as well. Those who r complete in themselves they only can truly "give" to...

Using Humour To Create Emotional Distance

Hey, everyone. First time poster, so I'm not sure how it's supposed to go, so I'll just get on with it. I'm a 20 year old man living life as a student. I'm a happy, social guy living life to the fullest, but lately I've noticed a tendency I'm trying to figure out, about my...

I remember a while ago I used to see emotional

detachment as something problematic. Now, I relish in this fact and would like to keep it this way. Some will say that this is wrong, but that's foolish of them to say. To each their own.

    Attachment hurts, always.

Be it with a person or a thing, it always hurts later on, cause either the person changes or leaves or nothing remains the same anymore. Lots of people say I'm cold-hearted and detached. Why wouldn't I be? I'd rather keep my distance from you cause like everyone else after a...

As the day shifts to night,

and night shifts to day, I am considering more and more that my constant anxiety is the reason why I am so emotionally detached. It makes sense, really. Also, I believe derealization correlates to this as well. I will explain why: So, anxiety can induce a symptom of...

    "Why are you so cold-hearted"?

He asked. I am not cold hearted. You just need to try a little extra harder to break these walls I have built inside my heart for me to fully open up to you physically, emotionally, and spiritually... Once you break these walls, you will see I am not so bad after all. It...

We realize the importance of something only

before getting it or after losing. Cause when we have it, its "boring ". No matter how good it is. Mind wants to hop onto something else, no matter how good situation it is in, it will always try to change that n regret it later.

so easy to form attachments with people they've only known for 5 minutes, friendship or otherwise I realise now that living like that shows abandonment is still feared or much less insecurities of your own self worth I meet people here n there I converse in some situations n I...

    I can't really feel anything

and even if I do it's for about 5 minutes. I learned to repress my pain to stop feeling everything going on at the time. Over the course of 5 years it has turned into this need for me rationalize and bury my emotions deep within myself. I don't know how to stop doing it. I don't...

I don't have anyone to really talk to.

Well, I do, I have tons of people that want to /be there/ for me. I don't know how to do that. How to even start.

It sucks sometimes. I hate hurting people

that I care about. It sounds weird. I can show affection and be loving but have no real feelings for someone at all. I don't know if I am cold hearted or if to many people wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Somehow I no longer seem to see the point of

anyone's drama or want to get involved in it. It's like I no longer feel anything towards people, similar to a sort of void but not a void that makes me feel indifferent or empty. Why am I experiencing this?

When enemies come in our life they make us sad

and friends n family do when they leave. They both become reason for crying, its better to be detached. Detachment doesnt mean u stop loving or becoming careful, it simply means that ur happiness is not disturbed by their coming and going anymore.
