    I Used To Be...

    When I was 11, I was diagnosed with manic depression (also known as Bipolar disorder). My doctor prescribed some antidepressants, some very strong Lorazepam.  She gave me a small prescription at first -- 30 pills, and if they helped, then I would get a larger prescription of 90...

    I Don't Remember Sobriety.

    I don't remember the last time I woke up and was not supposed to drug myself immediately to stabilize my mind.  It's sad.  And oh so numbing.  I don't remember sobriety.  I really don't.

    "The Heavy Feeling."

    That's the best I can describe it to date. Numb. Tired but not Sleepy. And this horrible feeling of pressure at the front of my skull.

    So, I Don't Take Anything....

    The Valium's there, but only when I really can't rest and I threw away all the "zombie making" potions years ago.I love my feelings...all of them.
