His Dad asked what he had learned at Sunday

school that morning. "I learned about a cross eyed bear whose name was Gladly"replied the youngster. Dad was puzzled and had to press the point further to finally discover it was a hymn: ' Gladly, thy cross I'd bear.'

My First Visit to England Okay,

I'm not really from England, but my ancestors were. I went to England for the first time when I was sixteen, with members of my Honors Club here in Upstate new York. We washed cars and held bake sales to help raise the money for the trip, which at that time was not too expensive...

Who here used to read the Dandy

or the Beano comics? They're as British as fish 'n' chips and the Queen. I used to read the Dandy and even now I can't help but pick up a copy of the Beano every now and then. Do many kids read the Beano these days, or is it out of fashion now?
