    I don't have full-on seizures anymore,

but I sometimes can still feel one coming on. Anyone with a seizure disorder can probably understand what I mean. I was 17 when I was diagnosed with epilepsy by a really nice neurologist. He told me that my epilepsy could be characterized as simply, "an increase in electrical...

Simple and complex partial seizures. Currently on Keppra and Dialantin. Keppra was the 7th medicine I have tried so far so good. Well, as good as Aed's can be. Changed my whole life quickly and unexpectedly. Getting easier now

    My First Diagnosis

When I was 12, I had my first grand mal seizure. I went 9 years without having another -- my neurologist dismissed it as a fluke. A month ago I had my second grand mal -- I do wonder if I haven't been having simple partial seizures in the intervening years. After this last grand...

Had a seizure at work last night.

. Wasn't a bad one but still bit my tongue but didn't get much of a headache! First one in 3 months though so that's a new record. I'd probably say my worst one, (or most dramatic) was about a year ago. Let's set the scene. A crowded casino on a Saturday night! I'm dealing...

    45 Years And Counting

First starting having absence seizures in 3 rd grade, about 9 years old. It was not until I was 11 or 12 that I had a complex partial. We were playing a board game, I glazed over starting playing out of turn and was unresponsive to my mom's complaints. This was a Friday night...

I was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago.

I was with my boyfriend at his house and past out, hit the floor, and started seizing. I don't remember much while having one but it is very scary. I just want mine to go away! I feel like it's ruining my life. No one in my family seems to understand how I feel. I'm scared to...

    Want Out Of It

Had it most of my life with it having a significant impact on me. They started out small, but only increased in severity as I got older. It could happen so many times in public that 911 was called or I was dismissed as intoxicated. I was nothing but sick of it, feeling like an...
