I Am Fascinated By Physics

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 455 People

I have no math skills but I enjoy discussing M theory with my fiance who teaches physics at the college. I love shows about Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Physics opens up a whole new world for me and a new way of looking at things.

I learn a lot of my physics from watching The

Big Bang Theory. And listening to: The Infinite Monkey Cage.

    The Music Of Touching

Sorry for grammatical errors... Once I explained to a girl (college), how does the electrical activity of the sense of touch works. To explain I put my hand over hers, and I told her that the electrical waves propagates. To explain further, I used an EMG and show that if we...

A Reading List For Educated Lay People

For those of you who are not physicists but are curious about why modern physics is a marvelous adventure of the mind. The authors are all professional physicists. I regret that this list does not do justice to electromagnetism. . * = Contains some technical material. Al-Khalili...

The Mystery Of The Fine Structure Constant

The first fact about electricity is the equal and opposite charge on the proton and electron. We now know that protons consist of three quarks and a lot of binding energy, so protons are not rock bottom reality. Quarks have fractional charges, but isolated quarks are never...

    What Do You Suggest?

I have such a limited understanding of physics. But I am fascinated to the point of having a bin of "moving toys" for my preschoolers (tops, balls, anything that rolls, etc.). I take lots of pics of them running, sliding, riding trikes. I hope to encourage their sustained...

What About It Got You So Interested?

I have had an interest in theoretical physics for many years. I find discussions and books about building the atomic bomb, Richard Feynman, quantum dynamics and string theory to be quite fascinating.

I've always been obsessed with the intersection

of physics of consciousness. Sometimes I wonder if consciousness is something that could be transferred...Oh, and bridges. I'm fascinated by bridges.

subjectively equal to Mass curved infinitly upon itself as dimensionality is expressed and condensed within the energy it creates, positively and negatively quantized. As time and matter embody infinite like qualities definitively though one dimensional spectrum it reverses it's...
