I'm tired of being in this restaurant from open

to close, compensating for weak servers then getting yelled at when they don't do their jobs correctly. Can you say stress???

I remember when 12 hour work days meant rolling

in at 9-10 AM, taking like an hour lunch and an hour dinner break, having the vendors take us to Balthazar and Mercer Kitchen, or eating at Dos Caminos like once a week with company money, playing music whenever I wanted, secretly taking a nap in the basement maybe once or twice...

    Poison Workplace

I like my job, but not my workplace.  It seems to attract administrators and managers that are more interested in psychodrama and personal power than doing quality work.  The thing that keeps me going is the fact that I'm smart enough to leave and move on to something...

    I don't like what I do anymore.

I'm not cut out for it. I thought I would love it and that it would make me happy but I was wrong. That's OK though because I know what I am really meant to do.

I love my career a great deal.

But it's not perfect because so many people there are either uptight, stressed, angry or too serious and project their problems/feelings onto others. It makes me want to quit by the end of the day. Wish I had a solution that doesn't involve me leaving.
