    I have never been to Germany,

    but plan to visit someday. I am actually full-blood German (heritage; born in US). My great grandparents or something like that came to America and somehow the 100% German made it to me. Would have been crazy if I would have found a full-blood German to marry. lol

    My mother used to speak German sometimes,

    since she took classes in it in High school in the 'States. My grandfathers... father, I think, came directly from Germany, in the time before World War I. I don't speak much German, though I can say some basic words and count to... 8 I think.

    So, my great great grandfather came to the u.s.before WWII. When they reached New York and filled out the paperwork, they misspelled or last name and changed an i to an e. I always thought that was interesting so I thought I would share.

    25% german by ethnicity,
