I Am Most Definitely An Intp

I love to solve problems, I thrive on it. Which works well for part of my job, the operations piece when we need to figure how to fix things that are not working right. On the engineering side the fact that I am always looking for new ways to do things and don't really like to...

The Female Intp In An Unnatural Habitat

I'm proud of being INTP, but I try not to show it.  I'm married to a Feeling type and it would hurt him if I got to excited about it, I think.

    Mistyped Intps.

It seems a lot of 'INTPs' here are possibly mistyped. There is a fair amount of over sensitive feeling, trying to hide behind the stereotypical INTP characteristics. I think some should re evaluate their type and retake the test.

I told my boss it was like I am operating my character from a mile up and back so I can see the forest but I have difficulty navigating the trees. I can see the forest but I can't convince anyone that they are going to hit a road block up ahead because I keep running into trees...

    Thought Transfer

Communication can be very frustrating for me. In my head i can come up with something amusing/witty to say but upon delivery, it falls short of expectation due to my non-expressive nature of verbal delivery. I also have trouble trying to convert scrambled intangible thoughts and...

You Say Hopeless Like It's A Bad Thing.

I wouldn't want to be anything but.  I love that I'm rare, and I love that I'm needed. I will admit that there are times when I've hidden just how lovely my INTP self is, but hey, if it makes a Feeler more comfortable...Just the same, I am as happy as an INTP girl gets.

IN the Tp. I Am Intp

I am always chasing new ideas and mentally manipulating objects.  It's frigging awesome figuring out a new idea or learning something or making things better.   So much I want to learn and the list keeps growing.   I wouldn't want any other personality...

I Wonder What Fears Are Common To The Intp...

I, personally, am afraid of being annoying. This prevents me from saying or doing a lot of things. I am trying to overcome this by taking a few risks and gradually step out of my comfort zone. The problem is, though, I don't see much progress and I feel I may be slipping back...

Mainly because the secluded-book-worm-nerd-type-loner-loser-psycho doesn't get much attention outside a good chatroom.

    Cool

I just realized there's a group for us goof-balls!  Not surprised there's so few of us though.  What are we, about 1-2% of the population? Hope everybody is having a good day!

    Severely Intp

I have taken several versions of this test over 13 years and have scored INTP every time. The one that claimed to be Keirsey's official test gave me a percentile for each function: 97th %ile Introverted, 99th %ile iNtuitive, 91st %ile Thinking, and 99th %ile Perceiving. Classic...

I guess this is a very INTP thing to do,

but I thought I'd try to list all of the "You know you're an INTP when..." lines off http://thatintp.tumblr.com reproduced here with typoes and repeats and all even though, I feel little less than half of them might apply to me and in most cases to many people in general...

Do other INTPs have a hard time sleeping?

I rarely ever sleep, always over thinking, especially when i am going through an obsessive learning mode, i know 2 other INTPs who also don't sleep much, just wondering if its another trait of ours haha

    I'm terrific at giving advice,

but it's not because I am particularly sympathetic--though, in fact, I am--but because I take apart problems to see where the real issue lies, not what the perceived problem is. It makes people feel better; almost always, our anxieties make our plights seem worse. Everyone...
