I Am In a Long Distance Relationship Forum & Chat Board | My boyfriend lives 2,300 miles from me

My boyfriend Mark lives in Tilton Illinois, and I live in Corona, California. We met at a Christian site and have been close ever since. We have been together for 7 months and I have never physically met him before. I am planning on seeing him in August of this year and cannot wait to meet my future husband.

But if you don't mind my asking, how'd you make it work out? I am in a long distance relationship as well. I live in CO and my boyfriend lives in Southern TX. We have very strong feeling for each other. It may even be love. I just want to be sure it lasts.

Well it involves both of our efforts on making it last. We just keep in contact every single day. When you are far away from  the person you are with, all you have is verbal or written communication. We e-mail, talk on the phone everyday, send each other text messages and also write eachother letters. We have even made plans to visit each other. I am going to see him August 20th so we are very excited about meeting face to face. It takes alot of commitment and devotion to each other. If you in fact have strong feelings and you cannot see yourself without him, then you would do anything to make it work. But make sure you guys are communicating as much as possible, because it's easy for the relationship to go sour because you have no physical contact. You can also get a web cam so u can talk to him and look at him the same time.

i'm in the same situation sort of. i live in indiana and my boyfriend lives in maryland but is moving to california soon. we also met online and its hard, but we both are committed 100%. im glad u guys are working out !

Rest assured, it does not get easier with age.  You are so young.  It makes me feel old LOL  He is 50 and I am 40.

i am in a long distance relationship myself. i live in georgia and he lives in illinois. not too far but stil far enough. we have been thru alot togethr... this june will b three years.. but we have been thru so much.. mostly just him and ive been supportive but he has a 6 yr old lil gurl that he lost cuz of her grandmother.. so he has been trying to get her back for like a year. its so hard cuz he is working all the time to get the money to have her and also just live himself. i love him to death. he is my world and we wil get thru this together and hopefully start our life as a family. finally. if you are in a long distance relationship be strong, communicate, and trust and if possible visit each other.. we havent bee able to do that but i hope soon we will... =)

I live in Australia and the man I am madly in love with lives on the other side of the world in Mozambique. We're coming to up to our 1 year anniversary and have only been physically together for 1 week. I went to see him in June last year and have only been in contact with him through a computer on Skype and facebook. I miss him soooo much at night when I go to sleep cause I can't feel his arms around me. I miss doing the littlest things with him. We're planning to get married sometime this year when he comes over to see me, but I struggle with having to wait.

I basically came on this site to chat with people in the same position, people that know what I'm going through that understand, people to help with the way I'm feeling each day.
