I Am In Awe Of Nature

I can think of nothing more majestic

than an eagle in the spring, soaring on a down draft. One kept me company on my walk today. Think I'll call him Chester. Now, Chester's part show-off, part shy... like a down-home cowboy who's still a little green. So I had my hands full trying to keep him in focus. Thanks for the...

    THE INTIMACY OF A ROSE

The elemental beings dwelling in the flowers — have particularly developed what is, in man, his life of feeling and sensitivity. In this respect we humans are really backward compared with these beings. We may take pleasure in a red rose or feel enchanted when trees unfold...

The Acorn This fall I found the beginning of a

tree. Just barely peeping out the shell. An unearth dirty lonely acorn. I brought it to the house. Then gathered dirt, filled a cup and reburied it. Today it has four leaves. Hmmnn what a blessing to see.

Nature is something I'm close to.

When I'm in nature I can feel the living things around me. There is so much life tucked back in a small canyon or hiking trail. When I'm most alone I'll find myself hiding out in nature where I can find peace and be alone.

    Man can only aspire to

that which Nature delivers. This planet was designed to be our home, but we have been lousy tenants. It's time for a change in how we treat Nature, because although through artifice we try to differ from it, we can never be anything other than part of it.
