I Am In Support of Transgender and Genderqueer People

All people have the right to be however they

want. I grew up as a male but I like wearing pretty things and why should that even be a problem? Liberate your mind, society!

i just joined the forum yesterday.

I am transgender and support all gender non conforming people. I have been out for nearly eleven years. I have some wonderful friends and have embraced people that most likely I would have never have contact with. I feel so blessed and never have been happier in my life.

"Being trans is not something you are born with.

It's a choice".... If medically this is not true, then why in the hell is it even open for discussion? I'm sure that trans did not choose to get put down and bullied, by those who are ignorant and do not understand. "Just be yourself". Isn't that what we teach our children? "Do...

    Why not support them?

Leave them be, stop pointing out flaws. I bet if you didn't know or couldn't tell, you wouldn't be so transphobic. Transphobia isn't even a phobia, you're not scared, you're just an arsehole unable to accept another human being's person.

I just can't stand when people call

transgenders "it's" or "he-she" or "she males". They have a pronoun (or maybe none at all) that they would like to be called. If you're unsure, just use they/them. It's a lot more respectful and it's safe to use. Or ask them politely what pronouns they prefer. Also I don't...
