I Am In Support of Transgender and Genderqueer People

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 4,823 People

    I'm biologically female.

I've only ever dated males. But about a year & a half ago I finally came out to myself as bisexual/pansexual. Since then I've been exploring how I feel about my gender identity as well. I feel like I'm happy being a girl, but that if I suddenly woke up as a boy, I would be...

I am not tran or anything.

I just think these people get a bad rap, and for what? Nothing, really. I mean, Whatever they feel is just as valid as what you or I feel. If they want to be different, then why not let them? And I understand that for some people it is uncomfortable, but instead of looking at...

People are people. It shouldn't matter

if they're straight, gay, bi, or trans. They're just being true to themselves. Even with every nasty comment thrown their way they still have the ability to ignore them and stay true. I think people could greatly learn from their perseverance.

Let us support all human beings

and be an Ally for those who suffer. Do not except mistreatment to anyone. Do not engage in jokes or ridicule. Let people be who they are and let people be people. Let us not forget those who lost their lives for being who they are.
