Unfortunately, people do. when people see me, they see past me, so they don't really see me. They don't ask about me, they ask about family, never about how I feel,  think etc.  I have no friends.  I don't get invited to lunch...

I've been one those people that gets used only when a favor is needed. Many times people only remember me for doing something they needed. But on other occasions I'm 'that one kid'. Put to the side when I'm not in the 'in crowd'.
