I am worried for my girlfriend.

I joined the Marines, and she is behind me 100%. But how can i help her through it all? She doesn't say it, but i can tell that it stresses her out.

I've been in for 8 years,

since I was 18 and I love it. I've done 3 tours. I know a lot of people think that we go through a lot of stuff but I would have it no other way. I like to feel like I make a difference in some people's lives. I came on EP to spread awareness about our soldiers and make friends...

    Military Life

I am in the Army and have been fo four years. I have been to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. It's not a bad job and it's very fullfilling when people thank us. You know complete strangers thanking you for keeping them safe. It's a strange feeling as I have always been the "...

    Certified To Be A Civilian...

I now am certified to reintegrate with the civilian world, but I'll be honest...even after all of that great information I learned, and those instructors were awesome, I'm still nervous. I don't feel ready to join the civilian population, if for no other reason, than I just am...

    Here We Go Again...

I go to work To do things I hate And deal with people who whine To get money I want To pay for things I don't need To entertain myself until the next shift For an ungrateful nation On an angry planet In an otherwise quite calm cosmos

Well... Im getting ready to go over the pond a

I'm not sure how to break it to my parents

that I want to enlist in the navy... Being the youngest I have always been expected to do a lot with my life but in my parents eyes that includes becoming a CEO of a company or something like that. But instead I have always felt like my life is intended to serve. What do I do?

You know, after coming from a command where I was important and an integral part of the team, to another command where I am as well, even though I'm good at what I do, I am so burnt out, and it's showing. As an NCO, I know better than to let it show too much, but the human part...
