    My father was half Italian

and half Greek...... he was not an easy man....we had a pretty hard life with him. He spoke both the languages, (his Father was Italian and his Mother was Greek) but yet no one taught us how to speak it really.

    Not necessarily easy

for us (my family) to admit the truth about our heritage. My mom recently discovered that she was in fact half Italian (calabrian, actually). Lots of family, paternity drama, if you can imagine. My father is of Caribbean descent, and my mother, while obviously African American...

    Young Heritage

My grandmother was Sicilian. She passed away in January. I took a trip to Sicily & Rome last week. I'm just glad she went back to her country, in heart, with me. Can't wait to place Vatican blessed rosary beads on her grave.

My grandfather came here from Sicily and I believe spent some time on Ellis Island. I was adopted by people who were not italian, so I have tried to make up for loss time.  I have learned a little about different wines and foods and I am always open to suggestions.
