    Yeah, That's True!

It may surprise you but it's true! Really!! I was the original wall weed not volunteering much in room discussions but give me a keyboard together with a forum and I'm well away sharing information and opinions about all manner of things. You'd struggle to get me to attent a...

    I'm A Writer, Not A Talker.

Many people I talk to on here, or random people on facebook, or other online sites are surprised when I tell them I don't talk much. On here, I'm not afraid to speak my mind, and have made a few friends because of that. I've also made some people dislike me. I try to respond...

    I Know Why Too.......

I have a freedom with typing that I don't get with talking. I can take my time, think through exactly what I want to say. I can erase a whole sentence if it doesn't feel right & not worry about someone thinking I'm dumb because I backpetal. I can write freely here, much...

Because I Learned To Type When I Was More Confident

for me, the reason is easy to infer. When I learned to speak, I was in a rather traumatic situation. Later on, through my teenage years, I had no friends and I had no one to turn to. I was withdrawn and very lonely. On contrast, when I wrote my first emails in the 1980's, I...

No You Will Not See Me On The Phone Much Or Saying Anything Among People

I'm not a people talker around people. There are times when things might just be right and I can talk. But 90% of the time, I'm a person that will stand around people as a mute. I am not much of a social person and that is why I will most likely be on the Computer much more often...

I suppose it's because writing is my thing really ... I reveal my feelings much more easily in writing sometimes ... not always ... but a keyboard just inspires me to share myself and to flex emotions which I might otherwise not reveal.

It's so much easier to communicate

when you have time to go back and make edits and you don't have to respond right away. Talking to me is boring. There's so much small talk involved. Too many jokes and cheap laughs. Not enough true connection. That's why I've always thought it was easier to befriend people...

    So Shy...

I am an extremely shy person face to face. But it really does help to talk to people online. It just makes it easier for me to say certain things and be myself around people. It especially helps to be on a site like this where no one knows who I am. There is only one person that...

    I have social anxiety

and it's a lot easier to text people and talk to them through a screen than actually speaking. I get overly nervous when speaking.

I have a small presentation tomorrow,

but I don't feel like talking. it's not that I really hate to talk - I lurvve ranting - it's just when I talk even in daily conversations, people don't hear me until I finish talking. maybe because I take too much time to find the words to talk - English is not my native and i...

    Unbelievably So

I tend to be quite quiet vocally. I speak when I need to.  I will have deep conversations with only a few people.  I retain that age old mask we all have of civility and if someone attacks my beliefs or for the purposes of work, I can speak I...

    And Then Some!!!

I write so much on here! I even tend to ramble on and on, in PMs or emails. I'm trying to work on that. Even in stories, if I don't be careful, they can span pages! :-o Yet anyone who has ever talked with me in person, or on the phone, can tell you... I don't speak much! I...

    More Comfortable Online

I'm usually a bit socially awkward. Face to face, I just sometimes don't know what to say. I over think, so not having time to thoroughly think before speaking is unsettling. While online, I have all the time I need to mull things over. Because of this, I'm more open online. If I...

    Typing Is Easier Than Talking

I'm quite social here on Ep; part of it is just because I feel much more comfortable here...everyone understands me here.  But I just find typing on the Internet much easier than talking face to face.  I can think through what I want to say and delete and retype...

I Suppose I Think In Text.

For some reason, I find it far easier to communicate in text than in words. Don't get me wrong, I can talk, and, when prompted into a conversation, likely won't shut up, but I prefer typing. My thoughts just tend to flow better through the keyboard. Funny, someone here once...

I'm More Expressive When I Type

I don't talk much. In face-to-face conversations or even on the phone, I mostly go "Hmm...yeah...that's interesting...". I wouldn't say I'm completely different online though. It's not like I'm a quiet shy girl by day and a social butterfly by night. But comparatively, I find...

    Definitely Me

This definitely applies to me. It's hard for me to try to get to know people in real life and I find that I approach a lot more people online than I do face to face. But even more than that I find that a lot of times I find myself emailing the people I know a lot more than I...

    Typing Verses Talking

I can have really deep, personal, fun conversations typing than actually talking to people.  My thoughts and feelings come out so much easier with typing than talking.  When I talk to people I usually go blank or my mind wanders but typing back and forth with...

I always have these grand schemes of things

that I want to say to people in person, but it never goes as planned. Either I'm too nervous to approach the person at all, or I approach them, but what I say is not nearly as profound as intended. However, when I type a message it comes across perfectly. Regardless of the fact...

    Choice Of Words.

I'll admit, Its easier for me to type out what's on my mind, then trying to write it down, just the flow of the keyboard and the sound of the music, can make me type and type and really get creative with my words. where as I try and speak my mind out loud and people just kinda...
