For each his own, as long

as one does not hurt another. The problem is when a person, or group believe there is only one way to live, and that their religion should be the base of all moral judgements. When we allow a sense of power, fear, control, and righteousness to block our sense of humanity...

I can see why Christianity has done a lot of

crimes... Their god is a master of killing the in innocent and then telling his mindless zombies that it's a sin to kill so they kill in his name. Them they get kind of whimpy and them just blog about you going to hell.

I'm religious, and I disagree with people

who say that religion is the cause for the world's problems. Religious extremism is. Faith is healthy, unless it's so extreme that it gets violent or discriminatory.

I believe in God, but I decided to basically

reject organized religion of any form. I used to be a pagan and worshiped nature for a time. I think there is some truth to most religions ( save for Satanism) but I have no respect for people, regardless or race/religion, etc who kill or destroy, for any reason, In God's...

    It's just an observation,

but because they seem to dominate the world the most evil seems to be perpetrated by those following the Abrahamic religions. Oh yes there are exceptions to the rule, but I see most ill coming from some misplaced sense of superiority never taught by the originators of those...

For as long as there has been a 'one true GOD'

there has been killing in his name. This is one reason why I am a non believer. And I have found out myself that those that profess to be true Catholics (for example only) are the least godly people of them all. I make no bones about the fact I do not believe and I will...

    A Few Points of Contention

I am not against religion. Honestly - I am not, if you have a religion and that religion is working for you then more power to you and don't let nobody come back on a Saturday morning trying to change your mind. That being said - there are a few bones of contention I have to pick...

    Every war was pretty much

for religion or at least some sort of different way of seeing the world. You think how much money each country would have if there were no wars at all... Ever. Instead of taking land we could be flying off into the stars but nope, no attention is there atall sadly.

How Religious Beliefs Could Harm Generations?

In Hinduism people believe that babies are born in a womb based on their previous Karmas. It appears as just a stupid statement for people who do not believe in religion. But look at it how deep it has harmed the society, if some one is born to a downtrodden, that person is...

It is really sad. There were happened a lot of

crimes done because of religious reasons in the past (crusaders, burning witches in the medieval etc.), they are Happening now in presence (terrorist attacks etc.) and I know they will happen in the future too. This is not the sense of religion at all!

I took my little girl to the playground.

She made friends with a group of children about her age. I watched as my daughter laughed, and talked, and played, and skipped, and enjoyed the thrills of the playground as a child should. And then I watched as 2 other children ganged up on her. "Do you go to church?" "If you...

    Well, I Partially Agree.

I do hate the crimes done in religion's name, but more than that, I despise the religion for influencing those mindsets. Almost every single christian "bloodline" or "ancestry" (judaism, catholicism, protestants, etc) have commited crimes against...

    Is It God's Fault?

Warfare, terrorism, corruption and the sexual abuse of innocents are perpetrated by those who claim to serve God and offend our sense of justice. Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems? The fault lies, not with all religion or with the Bible, but with false...

    Love And Respect

I am Pagan, have been so for many years now. I use to be Christian and even was an Ordained Minister at one point. That seems like a different life, at a different time, so very far away... a dream, if you will. BUT, for all religions, I have a deep respect for and appreciate the...

    War Of Beliefs

Beliefs are what wars are made of, or rather the dispute in different beliefs. Just as one man believes strongly in one religion another believes just as strongly against it. We cling to whatever belief we have and hold on to it till it makes us blind. Parents mold their children...

The thing that really irks me about these types

of crimes is the backlash it brings to others. For example, someone does a suicide bombing in the name of their God. Afterwards, you have two types of whack jobs commenting on it. First type: The ultra conservative folks from other faiths will undermine the people who have the...

I Am Very Confused About Religion

I was born into the Catholic Faith and brought up and moulded by it and I loved it. Without it I don't know how I would have survived the life my family led. I didn't have the material advantages of my peers nor the relative normality of their lives but probably because of this...

Why would people do that and try to justify it by religion. Blaming God for your own sins is stupid! No, it is just an excuse evil people use to feel not so evil!

    The Fan Club

I like the old saying, "I don't have anything against God, it's His fan club I can't stand." That is so true about any God that anyone worships and uses as an excuse to commit murder or hurt another, for or in the name of.

From the Inquisition to the current beheadings

by ISIS, religion has been used as an excuse to commit atrocities for centuries. I believe it's truly sad and pathetic when something as beautiful as faith is degraded by using it as an excuse to commit acts that that very faith says is wrong. Religion can be a great thing when...
