    Dont Get Me Wrong

i have a best friend in the army, and i love my freedoms...but its so damn hard to be patriotic. im happy with what i have not how it was gotten. i cabt be "proud" of something i did not work towards. the flag is just a symbol. any other flag has the same meaning to any other...

    So Pointless

One, I don't really agree with how America handles pretty much anything. Two, patriotism breeds hatred. It creates this "Us vs Them" mindset and pits people against each other. It's unhealthy. And Three, I just don't understand the importance of being patriotic. Why does it matter...

    'God' Bless America

I'm a Christian, but recently I refused to stand with everyone else for "god bless America". Which God is this? Is it Shiva, Buddha, Pan, or some other man made God? Perhaps it's Horus, as the eye of Horus is on the back of the dollar bill. I stand for Yahweh, creator of all...

    I'm Not Patriotic Because

A wise man once said, "You should be proud of something you do, not something you are". Admittedly that was Jerry Springer, but the point is still valid. Pride of the colour of one's skin is looked down on, pride of one's name is considered stupid, yet pride for your homeland...

Okay so I live in the US of A,

and am far from patriotic. Sounds weird right? With the whole"'Murica' thing. Yes we have some good things like education. But that's about it; welfare? Just something lazy potheads get on because they're too lazy to work. Land of the free and home of the brave? SIKE. All people...

    Well.

It's not that, you know, I'm "anti-America," although I'm sure about three-fourths of the populace would brand those in this group as such. I'm not anti-anything. I just don't believe in patriotism. I'm grateful that I live in this country, and not, say, North Korea, but I don't...

    Patriotism Is Simply A Word

I am not a patriotic person, I used to be till people started hating each other and greed took over the country, not to mention pretty much the rest of the world as well. There was time when patriotism actually meant something. Today patriotism is about "Everything for me and...

    I'm Not Really Patriotic...

I don't like what this country has done to people, despite being called "the land of the free." It has hurt and killed many and continues to do so, just because they aren't part of the majority. Not only that, but the country is so corrupt.

I have nothing against the United States.

I support the values our country was founded on, and the Constitution. I would even take up arms if we were attacked by a formidable enemy such as Russia or China. But I would be defending the people and their natural rights, not the flag or government. I believe "America" is an...

    I Pledge Allegiance

To humanity. I have no race, no religion, no country. I think for, care for, stand for, fight for people. I can't care about one country, why only that country? Why is our sympathy so selective? We can't we be empathetic? Patriotism is a tool. Patriotic themes, throwing...

At one time I was patriotic.

I joined the Navy and spent most of my time overseas. The American military exists to enforce Wall Street's desire for stability no matter how politically unhealthy. I saw that in the 1980s with St Ronnie Ray-gun's wars. In 2000 the Supreme Court awarded the presidency to...
