My Minister Is Smarter Than Your Minister

Why do I waste my time trying to have a rational conversation with anyone who's religious? I tried to point out today that there are Christian religions who supposedly all believe in the same God and yet still have come to different conclusions on God's laws. To me, this is all...

My mom got mad at me today

I don't mind if other people are religious... as long as they don't try to convert me or push their beliefs on others. I'm a live and let live kind of guy, and don't think you need religion to be a good person.

I'm not religious but I do believe in God.

Religion in itself, I believe, makes people feel guilty. There's a lot of talk about how God doesn't love you if you don't conform to x or y. I do find religion contradictory but I do believe in a creator. I just don't follow an organised religion.

Nope, never been religious a single day of my eighteen years, nine months and 23 days in the world. It just never made sense to me. I've grown up seeing Hinduism all around me. And yeah, the philosophy sort of makes sense. I even agree with some part of it. But when people start...

until a couple of years ago Took the 5 children did all the stand up things. The more I live with myself picking my own path. The bible and the Jesus story seems like a fairy tail. I believe in a bigger power but it's more in the Mother Earth kind of way.

    I'm not one for judging,

it's your life. Do what ever you want with it. But just because you go to church doesn't mean you make God happy. Your faith doesn't make you a good person. Your actions do. Scientist read many books and still feel they have a lot to learn. Yet a religious man barely reads one...

I allow for the possibility that I am wrong, but I no longer believe in the god of any of the theistic religions. I spent some 35 years as a "born again" Christian, but I never curbed my reasoning. The first to go was doctrine. When I learned of the 2 creation stories in Genesis...
