I Am Not Scared of Death

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 2,036 People

    I don't think I'm scared of death.

I was there when my Grandpa was in his deathbed. I watched his hard working body of 90+ years grow tired and go to rest. I was there as he took his last breath. What I'm afraid of is when it becomes my time to die. "Have I lived my life as fully as possible? Did I accomplish...

    I literally don't care.

If i was holding a gun I would nonchalantly put it up to my head and pull the trigger. Even when I'm happy. I sometimes have to stop myself from just casually killing myself. Once, when i was cutting, i looked and my knife and imagined it going through my head, but not even in a...

    Dont Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Life is...

I'm not scared of death in fact I've been secretly wishing I'd die for quite sometime now. No I don't cut myself. Now for those of you who do cut don't be offended by me this is just my opinion but I think it's pointless to cut yourself. To cause yourself more pain then what you...

    Death Is Everyone's Oldest Companion.

There is no need to fear death. As long as I can remember, I haven't feared it. I embrace it. I respect it. Death is one of those things that is with us throughout our lives. It is one of the very few things that unites all living things.   Death is a kindly friend, and...

Difference Between Being Not Being Afraid And Accepting..?

I hear alot of my friends and family say they're "not afraid to die". Well my majority of my family say it because "I'll be closer to God". Others such my brother and several of my friends, say it because "its going to happen sooner or later". But honestly that isnt the point of...

    Yeah.

I don't really understand why people are scared of death. I don't think other animals are? They certainly don't seem scared. My dog went under the porch to be alone to die. It seemed she understood what was happening...* To me it seems natural. Like bleeding and such. My mom...

Why do i need to be scared of death?

I want to live life not thinking about the day i go, because when i go i will be happy. I will see all the people i miss, and i can look back on my life and see how brave, strong, and courageous i had been.

June, 2013 was the end of my life

as I knew it. With one fell swoop, I was handed a cancer diagnosis and divorce papers, I was forced to try and find the middle ground of tying up my life’s loose ends and start a new life at the same time. My faith was tested, to say the least. Each day was filled with fear...
