My mothers Grandmother was full blooded

Cherokee, and her grandfather was half Cherokee, so yup that makes me at least a bit Cherokee too. And the good thing that I like about the Cherokee Indians is that even if you only have one drop of Cherokee blood in you they'll let you in their reservation. You know why...

family was full blooded Cherokee Indian. My mom told us about it a couples years ago and we didn't even know we were part Cherokee. One of our aunts told us that they called her Mami however they spelled it. Mami was my Mama's grandmother. We got the high cheek bones. :-)

    Part Cherokee

My great-grandmother was Cherokee.  I've always felt pulled towards the culture and spirituality, but have not had the chance to experience it first hand.

    Eastern Band?

My entire family grew up in the NC mountains. My great-Grandfather was maybe half Cherokee. I wish I could know for sure. My now 92-year-old (senile?) Grandfather denied it a few years back; but heck, he denies so many things we know to be true.
