I Am Renting An Apartment

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 56 People

My apartment that I'm renting temporarily is cute, small but cozy! The community is very nice, with the fountain and it's quite quiet, except for teenagers gathering in front of my window sometimes, but then I either tell them to shut up or call the police, which always works...

    For Now Anyway

it's nice, a perfect size for my daughter and me :)  course, she's accumulated many more toys than she needs, so i'm constantly picking them up and trying to organize a little better b/c of the small space.  but it works for us :)  i like it alot :)

    Throwing Away My Money

I loathe the idea of returning to being a renter.  I think it is great for a lot of people and I truely enjoyed the last apartment I had.  It was stress free but that is not what i wanted ultimately and I truely thought I would never rent again....Things change. ...

Renting for the first time with 4 friends.

3 of them are international students, and you would think that they would be the root of my troubles because of getting rent. But that is sadly not the case. We haven't even moved into the place yet, but have been actively getting the first month's rent in early for the landlord...

    My Escape Pod

I live in a dinky little apartment after having left my marriage last July.  It's little bigger than a hotel room.   I've literally had to purge out EVERYTHING that is not absolutely essential for daily living.  But it's home, it's mine and I...

You Gave Up Your Couch - No You Cannot Have It Back!

Definitely a day I need to vent - So my bf and I moved into our "garden" apartment in December. It is a new renovation, however, there was a previous tenant who started to move in, but for some reason couldn't stay. He hadn't fully moved in, but had moved a couch, a bed, and a...

We are renting. I would like to move to a slightly less expensive slightly larger place (I have looked and there are a few) but the husband is absolutely against moving. We make so little money I think it would be better in the long run to move to a cheaper place even though...
