    Creepy Silly Clowns

Clowns have creeped me out since childhood.  Perhaps I have some repressed memory of a clown bludgeoning some poor unsuspecting soul, perhaps it is how so many of them can fit into a tiny little space like a pack of rodents, maybe it is because they hide behind that deep...

They Are All Pennywise to Me

I am a fan of many gruesome and scary things, but I cannot abide a clown! I've read Cujo but dogs don't scare me. I read books on serial killers that would make your skin crawl but you don't see me checking the closets or behind the shower curtain. But once I saw Stephen King's...

I Am Scared And Irritated By Clowns

They have always made me nervous or annoyed me, I have never actually had a bad experience with a clown but have never liked them. I think they are sad people pretending to be happy and they always seem fake.

    Clowns Are Just Freaky.

There's just something wrong with a person who says to themselves, "Hey! When I grow up I want to paint my face white, put a red fuzzy wig my head, wear a foam nose and big shoes, wear mis-matched plaid and polka dot clothes, and play with kids while I look like that."! I'm not...

Clowns are the stuff of nightmares,

the chalk white skin, dead eyes and void expression makes me want to pass out. I should have never watched IT when I was a kid because it did permanent damage and I can't even walk into a McDonald's because I'm convinced that psycho mascot is going to pop out and kill me. I just...

    They Are The Worst

I have always been scared of clowns since I was a little girl. I do not find anything funny or cute about them. The fact that you do not know who is behind the mask, just makes that even scarier, at least for me.They always use clowns ion scary movies, so yep no thank you. If I...

    Stephen king's movie IT

when I was like 5 years old. That's why I am. It gave me a recurring nightmare that I still have to this day about me saving my family and sacrificing myself to him after he chased us all around my grandmothers and my house.

    Really Scared

When I was little I saw some movie with a scary clown in it. I had a horrible dream about clowns crawling toward me with knives in their faces trying to kill me. Don't ask me why I had that kind of dream when I was only 3 ...I don't know. I guess the next day wasn't a good day...

I wouldn't really say I'm SCARED of clowns per

se, but I have always found them unsettling and not at all cute or cuddly. They freak me out. What is endearing about someone that wears a painted smile? It probably started when I saw the 70's movie Magic, which wasn't about a clown, it was about a crazy guy (Anthony...

    More Like Terrified

At 30 years old I am completely terrified by clowns, I don't like the icon used for this forum. This goes all the way back to childhood when I was 5 years old. I don't talk about it much because most people think I'm making it up or think it's funny that I'm so scared of clowns...

    Always been an inherent thing,

but really brought to the surface after I walked in on my sisters watching "IT" when I was just a few years old. Flash forward 12 years or so and find me at a halloween theme park crying into my brother in law's shoulder as a creepy clown comes up to us... Always fun.

Clowns, it seems, are supposed to be funny and make people laugh.Β  Never once has that happened for me.Β  They just always look really, really creepy.Β  John Wayne Gacy and "It"Β certainly haven't helped.Β  But for real?Β  Can we be done with clowns now?Β
