I can't help but to recall one of my friends telling me that what is happening in the world now is no different than what has been happening for centuries. He remembered from his studies in history and reminded me of my own, that nations, cities, and ethnic groups have all...

My parents soooooo obsessed with politics.

Everything they say in daily life is always politically involved. When I entered the car after school, instead of asking us how the day was, they listened to the politics radio and yell when the politicians are not doing in the way they like. Everyday, every since I could...

I get if people talk about politics once in a while but when they make it get to them or speak about it everyday, it is a different story.  Politics will always be politics and everyone has different views.  Not worthed getting sick over politics.

    There are two political parties

and both of them are near identical. They focus mainly on money and on ways to insult the other. I wish there was a new political party that focused on the more important things like happiness. Isn't money just one path that could make it easier to reach happiness? Money isn't...

Although I lean toward a more progressive view

point, I generally eschew politics. The system is completely broken. They pander to their constituencies but in reality they only serve the lobbyists and their corporate masters. I hate the way were are divided by the media. However one of my favorite thought...

    *and Yet...

My new friend SimplyHarry got me to thinking about this.  I normally wouldn't join such a group.  But if I can do with an asterisk, it allows me to make a point.  I studied politics at university, I teach politics at the college level, and I am active in both electoral and...

When I was young, bright eyed,

and bushy tailed, I talked politics every chance that I got. The idea that we could create a bright and shining future for our nation by choosing our next leader had me so excited to get out and vote! Eventually, reality set in and the dark side of politics became apparent and...

I donate to both parties equally

as a business owner. I feel thats important. On Saturday, in anticipation of an event on Sunday I was invited to a small luncheon. They were mainly Oklahoma politicians and a former US President. It makes me sick to my stomach their view toward voters, and the public. No...
