I Am Sorry, But I Don't Speak "Idiot"

Could you translate, please? 244 People

    Low Tolerance

I have a very low tolerance level when it comes to dealing with idiots.  Idiots in the service industries are the worst. Customer svc reps without a clue, waiters/waitresses who can't get your simple order straight, grocery clerks who make you wait for a price check on...

i'm sorry, i didn't quite get that.... i think it might help if you translated what i can only assume is some sort of garbled attempt at innuendo into a language i'm more familiar with. english perhaps? then i would be in a better position to snub you appropriately. thanks!

No I Do Not Speak Your Language! Back Off!

Sometimes people around here are such idiots. I am originally from the north and I do not get along too nicely with someone who wants to keep bringing up the war. "Oh the south will rise again" "rebel power" "damned yankee" Uhm, okay, that was...

    Do You Know Everwood?

There is this great quote in one of the first episodes: A boy's new to a town and it's his first day at school. So some guys are making fun of him and he says: "I'm sorry, I don't speak dumbass. But since you obviously do, could you translate it for me?" Really...

    Come Again?

I wish I did then I wouldn't have such a hard time understanding what these idiots here at work are saying... or at the very least I'd be able to speak in their native tongue and get them to understand what I'm saying!!! Is no not a universal word??? I'm just curious... how...

    Heh.

Is 'Idiot' synonomous with 'netspeak' and 'textspeak' and 'leetspeak'? 'Cause I don't speak and/or HATE all of them. I mean, a lol now and again is cool. But if the entirety of your conversation consists of idiotically shortened  speak, I'm really not going to want to read...

    Hmm.

Depends on who you ask, I suppose; some would say "Idiot" is the only language I speak! What gets me is people full of hypocrisy who don't realize it.  Probably like me.  Who talk about love and peace and tolerance, but as soon as you take a different point...

    Fighting With Idiocy Daily

A typical exchange at my workplace... Me: "Don't forget training at 8am tomorrow, and bring your course notes" Staff member: "I didn't think I'd have to go" Me: "Did you receive a memo advising you of the training?" Staff member: "Yes" Me: "So why did you think you would...

    The Education System...

Like everyone else in this group, it drives me crazy when native English-speakers butcher the language beyond recognition.  Text speak, l33t speak, ignoring the most basic rules of grammar...it drives me CRAZY.  I'd love to assume that it was just a bunch of kids trying...

    Nor Do I

But imagine for a moment if Idiot was your mother tongue.  Imagine how trapped you would be, unable to articulate thoughts and feelings, and consequently, even understand them.  Have a little pity, after all, most of us learn our language by listening to the people...

    So Me

I totally feel this way most of the time. Sometimes I actually have some sort of patience but normally not. I just don't have time to explain things to people. It does depend on where and how these people confront me. If it's about work, then I really don't have patience for them...
